Morse, Flores Homer In Nationals' Loss

VIERA, Fla. -- Livan Hernandez was scheduled to pitch five innings Friday night, but he lasted just three as the Nationals lost to the Astros, 7-6, at Space Coast Stadium.

Hernandez said he had difficulty throwing his fastball on the inside part of the plate, and he paid dearly for it.

The trouble occurred in the third inning, when he allowed three runs. Brett Wallace had the biggest blow, hitting a two-run double. Hernandez was done after the inning due to a high pitch count. He threw 77 pitches, 44 of which came in the third inning. CONTINUE....
