LOS ANGELES -- It didn't take long for Nationals third baseman Ryan Zimmerman to extended his hitting streak to 25 games in an 11-9 victory over the Dodgers at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night. The streak is the longest in baseball this season.
In the bottom of first inning, facing Los Angeles left-hander Randy Wolf, Zimmerman singled to center field on a 2-2 pitch. It marked the 10th time that Zimmerman was able to extend the streak in his first plate appearance.
