PHOENIX -- Six days after pitching the first complete game of his career, right-hander Shairon Martis lasted only 5 1/3 innings on Friday, but it was good enough to help the Nationals defeat the Diamondbacks, 5-4, at Chase Field.
Washington has won four out of its past five games to improve its record to 9-18.
