Nationals lose finale despite Lannan's start

By Bill Ladson / MLB.com

WASHINGTON -- The Nationals' bullpen continues to struggle, as the Braves scored in the ninth to win, 1-0, at Nationals Park on Wednesday night.

The game was scoreless when Atlanta scored the winning run in the top of the ninth inning. With the bases loaded and two outs, left-hander Mike Hinckley walked Kelly Johnson to bring home pinch-runner Omar Infante.

The defeat spoiled a great outing by left-hander John Lannan, who pitched seven scoreless innings against Atlanta.

The Nationals had chances to score for Lannan, but couldn't get the job done.
