Nats fall despite Marquis' promising start

WASHINGTON -- Right-hander Jason Marquis had his best outing of the season, but it wasn't good enough as the Nationals were blanked by the Cubs, 4-0, at Nationals Park on Wednesday night.

Washington was swept in the three-game series and dropped its record to 53-75.
