LOS ANGELES -- Right-hander Jason Marquis made his first appearance since April 18 and it wasn't a successful one, as the Nationals lost to the Dodgers, 8-3, at Dodger Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Dunn's two three-run shots carry Nats in LA

LOS ANGELES -- Call Friday night the Adam Dunn show. He hit two three-run homers and helped the Nationals defeat the Dodgers, 6-3, at Dodger Stadium.

To put it bluntly, Dunn owns Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw. Dunn hit the two homers against the left-hander as the Nationals were leading, 6-0, after three innings. Dunn ended up going 2-for-3 against Kershaw and is 7-for-11 with three homers against the left-hander. The Dodgers elected to intentionally walk Dunn in his final two at-bats.
