Lannan out of rhythm in first spring start

By Bill Ladson / MLB.com

VIERA, Fla. -- The Nationals' pitching staff continues to struggle. It allowed 14 runs on Saturday against the Mets and has yielded a total of 50 runs on 67 hits in four games. Seventeen pitchers on the Nationals have an ERA of 9.00 or above.

Manager Jim Riggleman didn't show any concern after Saturday's game, but he said the pitchers have to start throwing strikes.
